New Focus: Daytrading Euro Futures – 2 New Videos

Posted by Editor on January 5, 2011

Happy New Year!

Now we are going to share a new area of investigation. For all of 2010, I switched my own emphasis, after 20 years of daytrading the S&P’s and S&P Eminis. The Eminis lost a lot of energy, once the big crash low was put in, in March, 2009. After several months of sluggish, slow, much lower volume, and much narrower ranges, I began to look for greener pastures. I found the wonderful world of the Euro Futures, with daily ranges offering three to 5 times the dollar potential of the current Emini averages. Trading the Euro for all of 2010, I found I have been able to duplicate the accuracy I had achieved in the Eminis, with fewer trades, and larger per trade average profit, for another very enjoyable and profitable year of trading.

In this first post of the New Year, we begin a new series of videos, sharing a number of ideas, strategies, and demonstrations of some of the tools I have found to be very effective for the unique behaviors of this consistently lively and dynamic daytrading venue. Remember that it may be difficult to follow some of the material in these and subsequent videos, until you have gone to the beginning of the blog, to gain understanding from the sequential unfoldment of many layers of usage of volume based strategies and tools. In these new and subsequent videos, we will also be dmonstrating new techniques for supplementing earlier strategies shown, benefiting from the capabilities of the convenient and user-friendly Ninja Trader free software.

Following are 2 videos to begin the study.

Risk Disclosure: Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
